Larry Crowne

Larry Crowne (Tom Hanks), a long-time employee at a store and nine-time "Employee of the Month," is unexpectedly fired due to his lack of a college degree. Starting anew, he enrolls in college. One of his courses is public speaking, taught by Mercedes Tainot (Julia Roberts), who's disheartened by her students' apathy. As Larry immerses himself in college life, he gains new friends, changes his lifestyle, and grows closer to Mercedes.
