Ladislav Kristen, a composer, and Jiří Kavalír, a lyricist, have little to complain about. They've written countless songs together, earning them fame and fortune. The only thing missing in their lives is a loving woman and the warmth of a family hearth. Neither has found the right one yet. Having enjoyed their youthful exploits, they decide one day to take a serious step: they place a personal ad. Among the responses, they are most taken with students Slávka and Maša.
