**Synopsis:**
"1984 CCTV Spring Festival Gala" (also known as "1984 CCTV Spring New Year's Eve Show") was a variety arts show produced and broadcast by Central Television. It was directed by Yang Yuhua and Zhang Shufen, and hosted by a team including Zhao Zhongxiang, Lu Jing, Huang Aoyuan (Taiwan), Jiang Kun, Jiang Lili, Chen Si (Hong Kong), and Ma Qi.
The show blended mainstream and popular culture, inviting performers from Hong Kong and Taiwan to participate, thereby achieving a cultural fusion between the mainland and the regions.
The gala premiered on February 1, 1984, at 8:00 PM on Central Television.
