**_Um fogo muito frio._**
Este filme é a adaptação de um livro de Stephen King com uma história muito interessante e abrange um tópico que sempre fascinou e intrigou as pessoas: a capacidade de fazer acontecer coisas usando o poder da mente. No filme, um homem que aceita integrar uma experiência científica adquire habilidades telecinéticas, isto é, a capacidade de manipular pessoas e objectos com a mente. Entretanto os anos passam e ele tem uma filha que nasce com um forte poder pirocinético (a habilidade de criar e controlar o fogo com a mente). Contudo, ambos têm de se esconder porque há agentes do Governo interessados nos seus poderes.
Dirigido por Mark L. Lester, este filme nem é bom nem é mau. Está exatamente no meio. Drew Barrymore encarna o personagem principal e ainda consegue encantar-nos pela sua inocência, dado que ainda não tinha passado pelas veredas viciosas que a actriz conheceu na adolescência. David Keith não é tão bom, especialmente porque é muito teatral e forçado, especialmente quando usa os seus poderes. Ele simplesmente não soa natural. O roteiro também tem algumas falhas e momentos de non-sense. Por exemplo, se aquele pai imaginava o perigo em que morava com s sua família porque não usou os seus poderes para fugir para o estrangeiro mais cedo? E qual é o propósito daquele assédio policial desenfreado se a polícia sabe que enfrenta um homem capaz de controlar mentes e uma jovem capaz de queimar tudo? Não faz grande sentido.
Não sendo muito bom, o filme ainda é capaz de fazer bem com seu papel, que é entreter o público. Portanto, ainda é interessante de ver, para passar tempo.

**_A fire too cold_**
This film is the adaptation of a Stephen King's book with a very interesting story, addressing a topic that has always fascinated and intrigued people: the ability to make things happen using mind power. In the film, a man who accepts to integrate a scientific experiment acquires telekinetic abilities, that is, the ability to manipulate people and objects with the mind. However, the years go by, and he has a daughter who is born with a strong pyrokinetic power (the ability to create and control fire with the mind). But both will have to hide because there are government agents interested in their powers.
Directed by Mark L. Lester, this movie is neither good nor bad. It's right in the middle. Drew Barrymore plays the main character and can still enchant us for her innocence, since she hadn't yet gone through the vicious sidewalks that the actress walked as a teenager. David Keith is not so good, especially since its very theatrical and forced when he uses his powers. It simply doesn't seem natural. The script also has some flaws and non-sense moments. For example, if that father imagined the danger in which he lived with his family, why he didn't use his powers to go abroad sooner? And what is the purpose of that rampant police harassment if the police know they face a man who can control minds and a young woman who can burn everything? It does not make much sense.
Not being very good, the film is still able to do well with its role, which is entertaining us. So it is still interesting to see to spend some time.
