Liucė would be a modern, self-assured woman if not for her mother, who constantly meddles in her life, criticizes her weight, and worries about her approaching single status. It would be ideal if Liucė's younger sister Inga wasn't already counting down to her wedding with her dream man. "I'll show them," Liucė declares, determined to prove to her mother, colleagues, and everyone else that she's not a failure and can find a man. As Liucė attends setups that seem doomed from the start, her efforts are watched with amused interest by a handsome colleague who's going through his own emotional turmoil. Meanwhile, their mother is busy planning Inga's perfect wedding, but Inga starts to question her own life plans.
