(CASTELLANO) Hay películas que no necesitan moverse para incomodar, y Reality es un ejemplo clarísimo. Está planteada casi como una obra de teatro, encerrada en un espacio mínimo, sostenida por palabras, silencios y miradas. Y funciona. Funciona porque es dura, porque es incómoda y porque no intenta suavizar nada. La decisión de basarse en transcripciones reales del FBI le da al conjunto un peso especial. Todo suena seco, burocrático, casi banal… y ahí está precisamente el horror. No hay música subrayando emociones ni giros diseñados para enganchar al espectador. La tensión nace de lo cotidiano, de lo aparentemente trivial, de lo que se dice y, sobre todo, de lo que no se dice. Sydney Sweeney está impresionante. Es una interpretación contenida, frágil y resistente a la vez, en la que cada gesto cuenta. No hay excesos ni grandes explosiones emocionales, pero sí una sensación constante de presión, de estar atrapada en una situación que se va cerrando poco a poco. Probablemente sea uno de sus trabajos más sólidos y arriesgados hasta ahora. La puesta en escena es mínima, casi clínica, y eso puede jugar en contra para quien espere una película más convencional. No es una obra fácil ni cómoda. Exige atención, paciencia y cierta disposición a dejarse incomodar. Pero precisamente ahí está su fuerza. No busca agradar, busca hacer pensar. Reality es un ejercicio de tensión pura, una película pequeña en forma pero enorme en lo que sugiere. No es para todos los públicos, pero para quien entre en su juego, resulta absorbente, dura y muy difícil de olvidar. It’s staged almost like a play, confined to a minimal space, sustained by words, silences and glances. And it works. It works because it’s harsh, because it’s uncomfortable, and because it doesn’t try to soften anything. The decision to base the script on real FBI transcripts gives the film a particular weight. Everything sounds dry, bureaucratic, almost banal… and that is precisely where the horror lies. There’s no music underlining emotions, no twists designed to hook the audience. The tension grows out of the everyday, the seemingly trivial, what is said and, above all, what is left unsaid. Sydney Sweeney is outstanding. It’s a restrained performance, fragile and resilient at the same time, where every gesture matters. There are no excesses, no major emotional explosions, yet there is a constant sense of pressure, of being trapped in a situation that slowly closes in. It is probably one of her most solid and daring performances so far. The staging is minimal, almost clinical, and that may work against it for viewers expecting something more conventional. This is not an easy or comfortable film. It demands attention, patience and a willingness to feel unsettled. But that is exactly where its strength lies. It doesn’t aim to please — it aims to provoke thought. Reality is an exercise in pure tension, a small film in form but immense in what it suggests. It won’t be for everyone, but for those who enter its rhythm, it is absorbing, harsh and very hard to forget.
