John Daniel Singleton (6 de enero de 1968 - 28 de abril de 2019) fue un director, guionista y productor de cine estadounidense. Nativo de South Los Angeles, muchas de sus películas abordan las implicaciones de la violencia en la ciudad, como la aclamada por la crítica y popular Boyz n the Hood, Poetic Justice, Higher Learning y Baby Boy.
