John Harold Singer fue un actor inglés. Comenzó como actor infantil, siendo popular en la década de 1930 y conocido por su papel en Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. En años posteriores, continuó actuando en numerosas películas, incluyendo In Which We Serve y The Cruel Sea. Falleció el 7 de julio de 1987 en Tunbridge Wells, Kent, Inglaterra. Su hijo, Steven Singer, se convirtió en guionista de televisión.
