Documentary about Cornelis Vreeswijk, offering an in-depth look at the life of the most renowned Nordic folk singer, told by his son Jack Vreeswijk. Together with friend Stefan Sundström, Jack embarks on a journey to find answers he never got from his father. Both Stefan and Jack are folk singers, and with a guitar on their backs, they follow in Cornelis' footsteps from Stockholm to Tromsø, the city Cornelis fled to after his dispute with Swedish tax authorities in the early 80s. Throughout their journey, Jack shares for the first time what it was like for him, as a child, to experience all the scandals and tabloid headlines, and what it meant to be Cornelis' son. This is an intimate and dense documentary that provides a unique insight into Cornelis Vreeswijk's life as a folk singer and family man.
