Over 11,000 years ago, as the last ice age ended, nearly 400 Danish islands emerged above the waterline. Today, four of these islands - Ærø, Orø, Fur, and Fanø - receive a visit. In four summer-themed episodes, TV chef Anne Hjernøe and documentary filmmaker Anders Agger venture out to explore the essence, traditions, local ingredients, and driving forces that keep these islands thriving.
