In the seventh grade of upper secondary school, friends Jenna (Elina Mikkola) and Laura (Oona Louhivaara) set off for a cultural camp. Jenna eagerly anticipates meeting the other campers, while Laura looks forward to dancing with the new teacher. Joining them on the trip are the reliable old hand Niko, Laura's dance partner and good friend, and Tytti, Laura's fiercest rival. At camp, the girls encounter new faces like the charming Ronja, who sparks a rivalry with Niko, the French-Finnish Pierre, who tries in vain to woo Laura, and the handsome Marko, into whom Laura is instantly smitten. To Laura's dismay, Marko is Tytti's dance partner, and Tytti has no intention of giving him up. Meanwhile, Jenna finds her own love interest outside the camp: the handsome farmer's son Pauli captures her heart. This coming-of-age story combines romance, humor, adventure, and suspense, set against the backdrop of a cultural camp in scenic Eastern Finland during the height of summer.
