The Assize Court has long served as the backdrop for the most dramatic story of all: the accusation of murder or manslaughter. Emotional testimonies alternate with hard-hitting arguments for or against. The jury embarks on a quest for truth, culminating in acquittal or imprisonment. Never before has our justice system been under such scrutiny since the late 1990s. "Court of Assize" focuses solely on one place: the courtroom.
