Golden Grain

Young farmer Dong Jianquan dreams of becoming a part-time public servant as a grain inspector. However, the government's grain collection policy is abolished, forcing Dong to leave his village and work as a migrant laborer. Despite his new life, he yearns to return to his own land and the joy and dignity it brings. The series tells the story of the now-defunct grain collection system in the village of Jian Mountain, exploring the bittersweet memories and experiences of the farmers.
