A Saudade de Severina

Joaquim, a married man and father of nine children, decides to abandon his family and their rural home due to the strain of raising so many children. Severina falls into a deep depression, and their children, Antônio and João, try to help by calling in the local spiritual healer, Zezinha. The family only learns the true cause of Severina's depression when she finally reveals it after breaking a picture frame.
