Vidocq

In 19th-century Paris, amidst great changes and a surge in crime, the police are overwhelmed. Meanwhile, the enigmatic Dandies gang makes headlines by kidnapping the daughter of wealthy banker, Monsieur Ségur, and demanding ransom. François Vidocq, struggling to finance his own police force, the future "Sûreté", must find a way to rescue the girl and secure the necessary funds. Ségur, desperate and disillusioned with the traditional police, turns to Vidocq for help. He offers to fund Vidocq's police force if he successfully rescues his daughter and the ransom. Vidocq accepts the challenge, recruits his first men from among his criminal acquaintances, and the legend begins.
