Union Pacific

"Union Pacific is a 1958-1959 syndicated Western TV series starring Jeff Morrow, Judson Pratt, and Susan Cummings. Inspired by the 1939 film of the same name, it follows Bart McClelland (Morrow) as he oversees the construction and expansion of the Union Pacific Railroad, from Omaha, Nebraska, to Promontory, Utah. McClelland deals with right-of-way issues, influenced by stubborn landowners, farmers, Native Americans, outlaws, and other factors. Billy Kincaid (Pratt) assists McClelland as a surveyor. Susan Cummings plays Georgia, the proprietor of the Golden Nugget Saloon, a traveling bar that follows the railroad workers. Union Pacific failed to gain an audience and was canceled after one season. The series was filmed by California National Productions at Iverson's Movie Ranch in Chatsworth, Los Angeles County, California. Other productions include the syndicated series Boots and Saddles and Pony Express, as well as NBC's anthology Frontier, which aired from 1955 to 1956."
