The story follows Arianna Comani (portrayed by Vittoria Puccini), a woman whose life is turned upside down when her husband, Fabrizio Comani, a regional urban planning councilor, is found murdered at their home. Overwhelming evidence, including her fingerprints on the murder weapon, leads the police to suspect her. Complicating matters, a woman named Sara Genovesi claims to be Fabrizio's lover and suggests Arianna's motive was jealousy.
