Ku San Young works and studies at night to become a public officer. After receiving a relic from her dead father mysterious deaths take place around her, and she finds herself slowly changing.
Gu San-yeong is possessed by an evil spirit after receiving a relic of her dead father. She meets Yeom Hae-sang, a folklorist who can see ghosts and spirits, and enters a completely different world from what she once knew.

Once again the South Koreans, come up with yet another successful series.
Revenant mixes light horror, with a mystery thriller. Perhaps the closest but still imperfect comparison, is The Ring franchise of Japanese inspired horror films.
There are new episodic mini tales, most episode's, with a larger overriding back story that cleverly build's towards a series climax.
Acting as I've come to expect from SK is excellent, with characters who have depth and an interesting story to tell.
In summary, don't let the subtitles deter you, this is a engrossing, well crafted series, that offers a lot to fans of the horror/mystery genre.
