Platypus Man

**Platypus Man** is an American sitcom that aired on UPN in 1995. Starring comedian Richard Jeni, the series was adapted from an hour-long HBO special he performed in 1992. It ran for one season, comprising 13 episodes. Premiering on January 23, 1995, the show's concept of a "Platypus Man" and a "cooking show for guys", along with scenes from the main character's social life, were inspired by Jeni's stand-up routines. Paired with Pig Sty, Platypus Man followed Star Trek: Voyager on UPN's Monday schedule. Both shows were canceled in July 1995.
