Maui Fever

**Maui Fever** is an American reality TV series that premiered on MTV on Wednesday, January 17, 2007, at 10:30 PM. Set in the Kaanapali area of Maui, the show follows the daily lives of a group of young haole friends. In the vein of MTV's Laguna Beach, The Hills, and 8th & Ocean, Maui Fever is a reality drama. Unlike MTV's The Real World, cast members do not speak directly to the camera or provide testimonials. Instead, each episode is introduced by a voice-over narrative provided by Cheyne Magnusson, one of the main characters, to set up the scene and connect storylines. The opening credits feature the song "Horndog" by Overseer.
