The story of brilliant microbiologist Svetlana, who developed a groundbreaking antibiotic and founded a major pharmaceutical company. However, her fanatical dedication to work led to a tragedy: she lost her child at seven months. Afterwards, Svetlana and her husband Alexei decided to fully focus on their family, at least temporarily, and Svetlana stepped away from her company. But Alexei isn't the devoted husband he seems. He spends almost every night at an underground gambling club. One evening, after losing everything, he gambles away what's most precious to him: his wife.
