Men Ke, a corporate office worker and lifelong drudge, spent the first half of her life in such tedium that she questioned her existence. But in the second half, she finds herself in a situation where boredom could literally kill her. Every day, she faces death threats and still has to go to work. This earthly heroine's story intertwines with an enthusiastic but somewhat bumbling alien hero who wants to save her. Together, they must find a way to overcome boredom and live with a smile.
