In the mid-19th century Paris, this drama unfolds, based on Alexandre Dumas' fils' classic. It tells the tragic love story of Marguerite Gautier and Alfredo Germont. Known as "The Lady of the Camellias," Marguerite is a beautiful, high-society woman leading a lavish, worldly life. She falls in love with Alfredo, an honest, penniless young man. Social differences compel Marguerite to end their relationship, becoming a nobleman's mistress instead.
