Inés (Natalia Verbeke), who has just turned 30, discovers her boyfriend's infidelity and unethical practices at the private clinic where she works as a doctor. She decides to confront both situations, leading to the breakup of her relationship and her dismissal from the clinic. She then decides to move to the small town where she used to spend summers with her family. Her sister Claudia (Emma Suárez) has opened a rural hospitality business in the town, where she lives with her husband Tomás (Anibal Soto) and their two children. Once in the town, Inés learns about a vacant position at the local health center and applies to settle in the peaceful place. Soon after starting her job, she must attend to Alicia (Elena de Frutos), a teenager suffering from an unusual lung disease. However, the circumstances are strange: there are other students at the local high school also falling ill, and they seem to be hiding a secret; her colleague at the health center, Alejandro (Pedro Casablanc), obstructs her from treating the sick children; and a body is found in the nearby reservoir...
