Crazy Mr. Kufalt

In the opening scenes, we meet Kufalt as a prisoner. Who would have thought that he ended up in a striped jumpsuit due to excessive honesty? Once an accountant, he reported a discrepancy in the funds, forgetting that the keys to the safe were not solely his. Kufalt is forever socially and psychologically scarred. Starting life anew after his release is challenging, especially in Germany during the 1920s, a time of economic and social turmoil. Only a few years have passed since the defeat in World War I, and the only law that prevails is the law of the strongest.
