Black Mirror

"Panelák" is a drama series set in Bratislava during the 1980s, weaving together the lives of residents, including the Holovič and Supe families, and others who inhabit the panelak (high-rise apartment building). The story is told through the eyes of Rikino, a film student who incorporates his observations of the people around him into his film project, blurring the lines between reality and television. The men of the panelak gather regularly in the boiler room of the elderly Fekete, a former hunter, to share stories and reminisce about the past. The narrative spans three generational levels - the "old-timers," the middle-aged, and the youngest residents - offering a contemporary tale of everyday people, warts and all.
