Icare, a 9-year-old boy nicknamed Courgette, lives with his alcoholic mother. One day, finding her revolver while she's deeply depressed, he tries to "shoot the sky" for causing all their troubles. The gun goes off, and Courgette is sent to "The Fontaines," a home for "hurt children." There, he meets Simon, Ahmed, and the enigmatic Camille. Raymond, a gendarme, becomes a father figure and rediscovers his zest for life through Courgette. Through play, music, and poetry, they learn to build, rise, and "mend their hearts" together. Human connection, friendship, and hope emerge from their shared journey. Recorded at Théâtre Tristan-Bernard, Paris 8th.
