Angela, a civil advocate, is making a documentary about the death penalty. She interviews inmates at Madras Central Prison, including Virumaandi and Kothaala. Both men were convicted for their parts in a massacre that claimed 24 lives during a violent clash between two villages. As prison tensions rise, Angela hears their differing accounts of the same event.
