An Argentine theater company embarks on a tour of various French cities, performing "The Seagull" by Anton Chekhov under the direction of Daniel Veronese. The actor playing Treplev, the lovesick writer who is in love with Nina, and Perroud, a young filmmaker, document this journey. What starts as a travel diary evolves into a clash of perspectives: Perroud's camera versus "The Actor who plays Treplev".
