**The action takes place in a hotel. In one room, a couple is in love; in another, a violinist resides. In a third room, two guys wake up hungover. After a heavy night, they have one goal: to drink. But there's nothing to drink, and no money to buy more. They decide to borrow some. Later, a man enters with 100 rubles, which they requested. He's met with suspicion. The man leaves, but they call him back halfway, asking why he brought the money and offering to return it. He insists he just wanted to help. Tensions rise when they tie him to the bed and, with neighboring guests as witnesses, try to make him confess his true intentions. The man reveals that his mother lived in this city. He hadn't seen her in six years or helped her. He'd been saving money for her, but now she's passed away. Everyone falls silent, lost in thought. They all apologize. Quickly, they gather drinks and snacks for the table.**
