
Alberto Nardi, a Roman businessman, fancies himself a man of great ability, yet his factory perpetually teeters on the brink of disaster. Married to Elvira Almiraghi, a wealthy and successful businesswoman from Milan, Alberto's wife has a no-nonsense attitude and barely tolerates her husband's attempts to keep his factory afloat using her money. Alberto tries to keep up with his wealthy and successful wife and friends, but only ends up making a fool of himself. Amused by his antics, Elvira publicly humiliates her husband, confident that he will never leave her, hoping to profit from her fortune.
