In the heart of the Bajo Aragón, a family harbors an ancient secret. Twice a year, at night, mysterious lights appear near their farmhouse, glowing eerily in the underbrush of an unusual forest. The family believes these lights are a gateway to another world, from which there's no return. In 1936, as the Spanish Civil War erupts and anarchist militias seize control, Ramón, the family patriarch, is targeted not for his beliefs, but for personal reasons: "The Lame One," an anarchist from the village, is infatuated with Dora, Ramón's wife, and aims to exploit the chaos. With no other choice, Ramón crosses the threshold of the lights. Dora must now face the harsh realities of war, loneliness, and the Lame One's relentless pursuit. To endure the hardships, she relies on Gernsback, an officer from the International Brigades, and Lo Fusteret, an old anarchist opposed to the Lame One.
