The Badlanders

In 1898, two inmates, The Dutchman and McBain, are released from the Territorial Prison in Yuma, Arizona. Driven by revenge and greed, The Dutchman sets his sights on a small mining town and the gold he believes is rightfully his. Wrongly imprisoned by the town's residents, he seeks retribution. McBain, however, wants to leave his criminal past behind and start anew. But when The Dutchman drags him into his gold heist plan, McBain finds it challenging to stay on the straight and narrow. This Western tale is an adaptation of W.R. Burnett's 1949 novel "The Asphalt Jungle," set in the unique backdrop of 1898. It's the second film adaptation of the novel, following the classic 1950 film noir of the same name.
