Adonias, now the eldest following Absalom's death, fails to ascend to his father's throne. Bethsabée's scheme crowns Salomon as the new King. Salomon rules wisely and marries one of Pharaoh's daughters. One day, heeding God's words, he builds the magnificent Temple of Jerusalem. Salomon's fame reaches distant Nubia, enticing the Queen of Sheba to visit and admire his wealth. The kingdom prospers, but both people and king neglect God's commandments. A prophet foretells the kingdom's division after Salomon's death. Upon the King's passing, his brother Roboam struggles to control the people and flees. Displeased, God decides to divide the kingdom.
