Mike McDermott, a poker addict with unmatched skills, loses all his fortune in a high-stakes game against Russian-American gangster Teddy KGB. Desperate to keep his promise to his girlfriend Jo and leave his gambling past behind, Mike is forced to team up with his best friend Lester 'Worm' Murphy, fresh out of prison and drowning in debts to dangerous criminals. With no other option, the duo must return to the poker tables to raise the money needed to secure Worm's freedom.
