In 1978, Jewish game show host Hans is set to host a live show on November 9, coinciding with the 40th anniversary of the infamous Kristallnacht pogrom of 1938. Despite his desire to attend the memorial event, Hans' television boss insists that the show must continue, leaving him with a difficult decision to make.
