Rogelia

Maximo, Rogelia's husband, is a violent laborer. After severely injuring Fernando, a doctor who had just treated him, he is sentenced to spend the rest of his life in prison. Soon after, Rogelia runs off with Fernando and has a daughter with him. However, the guilt of her infidelity weighs heavily on her, leading her to decide to return to her husband and visit him in prison.
