Project Viper

A taciturn security specialist is forced to team up with a NASA scientist to capture a deadly creature that has escaped from the labs where it was created. The creature, resembling a snail, was engineered by fusing human DNA and computer chips. With the tagline "Engineered to live on Mars, destined to kill on Earth", this film is a low-budget take on "Species", starring Patrick Muldoon ("Star Troopers"), Theresa Russell ("The Black Widow Case") and John Beck ("Dallas"). Director Jim Wynorski ("Return of the Swamp Thing", "Comando vs. Cobra") is known for these types of productions, most of which are filmed for direct-to-video release and share the same quality as this one.
