Ip Man, a refugee in Hong Kong, aims to introduce Wing Chun to the region. However, he faces numerous obstacles, including "Hung Ga," a local martial arts master who teaches a different style. Later, Ip Man has trouble with a corrupt police commissioner who orders Hung's death. To uphold Chinese dignity and prove Wing Chun's superiority, Ip Man accepts a challenge from a boxing champion.
