Seniha shares a home with her brother Halit and his wife Mükerrem. Nüzhet, the charming son of the town's wealthiest family, becomes infatuated with Mükerrem. Initially repulsed by Nüzhet's advances, Mükerrem eventually succumbs to her desires, starting an affair. When Seniha exposes her sister-in-law's infidelity to Halit, she unwittingly sets in motion a chain of events that will drastically alter her own fate.
