Cut Down to Kill

The new police chief, Bruce Li, arrives in a small provincial town with a mission: dismantle a dangerous gang. Immediately clashing with his complacent deputies, he realizes they're ill-equipped for the task. Li recruits a motley crew of prisoners, offering pardons in exchange for their help. The group includes Wang Yung Sheng, a widower imprisoned for avenging his wife's killers; Lung Fei, a knife-throwing expert serving time for slaying a corrupt magistrate; a pickpocket; and a young orphan girl seeking vengeance for her parents' deaths. Li's ruthless commitment is evident when he executes a prisoner attempting escape. United, the group tracks down the gang's hideout and confronts their leader, Chen Hsing. A brutal battle ensues, leaving everyone dead but Li.
