Chris Sanders and Quincy are both involved in a video game tournament called "Black Hole", each aiming to win the $175,500 prize. Quincy attempts to sabotage Chris, but his plans backfire when Chris's mother, Tracy, mistakes him for her son's online date. Quincy lies to Tracy on their first meeting, claiming to be a Home Ec. teacher at Chris's school. Just before the tournament, Chris discovers Quincy's deceit. Determined, Chris vows to "destroy" Quincy in the competition. In a surprising turn, Quincy loses the tournament to demonstrate his sincere regret. Tracy takes him back, and they attend Chris's prom together. Ultimately, Chris chooses to go to the dance with his romantic interest, Ash.
