Psychologist Peter Bower and his wife decide to move back to Melbourne, Australia, where they first met, hoping to start anew and leave behind the traumatic event that forever marked their lives: the death of their 12-year-old daughter in a tragic accident. Once settled in the city, Bower receives help from Dr. Duncan, who refers patients to his practice to ease his return to work. Just as things seemed to be falling into place, Bower uncovers a horrifying connection between some of his patients, forcing him to return to his hometown and confront a dilemma only he can resolve.
