
In 1956, Paul won an Olympic gold medal in the marathon. Now, aged, his daughter wants him to move into a retirement home. To escape this depressing reality, he decides to compete again in the Berlin Marathon. Despite her doubts, his wife agrees to be his trainer once more. At the nursing home, Paul trains with renewed determination, despite being ridiculed by others. Even his roommate recognizes him as the former Melbourne champion of 1950. Now, Paul prepares to conquer the 42.195 kilometers and cross the finish line to cheers. Can he win again, as he did in his youth?
