In the early years of the Tang Dynasty's Zhenguan era, a series of mysterious cases emerged, starting with the manipulation of corpses using puppetry, followed by the resurgence of ancient Han dynasty assassin groups, employing wooden effigies, mountain spirits, and thunderstorms to target nobles and royal secrets. The campus marshal, Ge Yitong, was unable to solve these cases, and Princess Pingyang's daughter, Bi Yun, was repeatedly drawn into the investigations. Fortunately, the reclusive young scholar Li Xunfeng, residing in Chang'an, often came to their aid, using traditional Chinese medicine, divination, and other techniques to crack the cases. Throughout their collaboration, Li Xunfeng and Bi Yun developed a deep mutual respect and affection. However, bound by their duty to unite with the Shatuo to fight against the Turks, they parted ways like the stars of the Dipper, their love story left unfinished.
