In Beijing, two drifters from Henan (played by Xu Tao) and Guizhou (played by Feng Danru) meet as extras on a film set. They bond over their shared experience, with the reserved man hoping to earn enough to buy a home, and the witty woman dreaming of starting her own talent agency. They grow close, often calling each other "Ah". An unspoken connection seems to form between them. One night, the woman learns about the man's girlfriend back home, and her expression saddens. They don't meet again, and the man hears she's now with an assistant director. Their story remains unfinished until they cross paths again. This is part of the "Eleven Degrees of Youth" microfilm series, a collaboration between China Film Group and Youku.
