"Twin sisters from the Mosuo ethnic group, Binma and Duma, find their lives intertwined in unexpected ways. Binma, a dancer with the Beijing Central Nationalities Performing Arts Troupe, changes her plans to experience life at her boyfriend Li Daoying's factory and returns to her hometown, Lugu Lake, for inspiration. Meanwhile, Duma, envious of her sister's life in the city, secretly travels to Beijing and ends up at Daoying's factory, where she's mistaken for Binma, leading to a series of misunderstandings. Upon Binma's return to Beijing, the truth is revealed, and her dance piece 'The Hunter and the Bird' wins a major award. With misunderstandings resolved, Binma and Daoying deepen their understanding and celebrate with a dance to 'Lucky Star'.
