**Synopsis:**
At Northeast University, Zhang Bei's family is brutally massacred by Japanese invaders, fueling his desire for revenge. While his girlfriend, patriot Zhao Weilan, joins the Communist Party, Zhang Bei embarks on a solo mission against the occupying forces. Along the way, he grapples with complex emotions from admirer Kinjiro, comrade-in-arms Qi Na, and adopted sister Hua Hua. Despite numerous setbacks, Zhang Bei's life is saved multiple times by Communist Party members like Lao Tie and Zhao Weilan. Through these trials, Zhang Bei witnesses the Party's unwavering commitment and courage, reevaluating his initial solitary stance. With the Party's guidance, he completes challenging missions and ultimately becomes a steadfast Communist warrior.
